1,107,818. Reclaiming material from piles. MASCHINENFABRIK BUCKAU R. WOLF A.G. 22 Aug., 1966 [21 Aug., 1965], No. 37600/66. Heading B8E. [Also in Division E1] In a stock pile reclaimer in which a bucketcarrying tube is rotatably mounted beneath a bridge to dig up material scraped down to it by scraper means mounted on the bridge, the buckets embrace openings helically distributed about the periphery of the tube so that material passes into the buckets and through the openings on appropriate rotation of the tube to fall on to a conveyer extending axially of and outwards of the tube. Preferably the helical distribution of buckets on the halves of the drum are of opposite hand and the conveyer is axially movable of the tube to allow of discharge by the conveyer from either end of the tube as required by site conditions. A system is provided for controlling the speed of advance of the machine in accordance with the weight of material on a section of the conveyer. |
