The electrodynamic exciter can be used for the activation of a resonator-type emitter-loudspeaker in the form of a panel. It serves for the excitation of component (2) having the ability to maintain or distribute energy. The exciter contains a driving coil unit (3, 4), with a coil (3) fixed to a tubular coil skeleton (4), magnetic unit (5, 6, 7) fitted concentrically to the driving coil unit and a device (11) suspending the magnetic unit for axial shifting towards the coil unit (3, 4). The exciter also includes a carrier (9) which supports the driving coil unit (3, 4) and is adapted for a connection to component (2) which has to be excited. 21 claims, 11 figures
