PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate insertion of an exhaust channel into a flue between an existing incinerator and a chimney by mounting a heater on the inner wall of an enclosed space, arranging refractory plates in several stages while inclining alternately in the opposite directions between facing walls, making a vent through the refractory plate and an air inlet at the lower part of the wall. SOLUTION: An enclosed chamber having square cross-section is defined by refractory walls 1, 2, a ceiling 4, a floor 5 and a door and fixed with rectangular plates 11, 11,... of refractory, e.g. ceramic, having a rectangular vent 10 on one side while inclining alternately in the opposite directions. The plate 11 is fixed such that the vent 10 is located at on the higher side of the plate 11 while fitting the upper and lower surfaces of the plate 11 airtightly except the vent 10. Ceramic air inlets 12, 12 are provided at the lower part of the walls 1, 2. Resistive heaters 13, 13,... are fixed to the inner surface of the walls 1, 2 in order to regulate temperature in the exhaust gas treating system.
|
