PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and structure for cooling a box wherein the temperature in a box is prevented from rising without impairing water-proof and dust-proof, a box is assembled without affecting assembly property, and degradation of parts, etc., is prevented while electric characteristics is improved. SOLUTION: A cooling structure of a box employs such a structure that an electric-wire bundle 29 of electric wires 29a drawn out of heat sources 27 and 28 inside a box 21 is provided with a cooling means 34 comprising a thermoelectric cooling element 37, thus absorbing the heat of the electric wire bundle 29, thus the box 21 is cooled. The cooling means 34 comprises a heat-absorbing part 38 fitted outside the electric wire bundle 29 on the heat-absorbing side of the thermoelectric cooling element 37, and the heat-absorbing part 38 is fixed to a fitting part 33 formed on an outside wall 25 of the box 21. A heat- radiation fin is provided on the heat-radiation side of the thermoelectric cooling element 37.
