PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate communication speed and to improve the throughput of a network system concerning a programmable network, in performing software processing of a communication packet on a program node on each network. SOLUTION: For this programmable network, only the communication packet requiring software processing is transferred to a flow corresponding processing program executing means 20, which corresponds to the discrimination of a packet class discriminating means 10 of a network input interface 3 at a network node 1, and the other packet is directly transferred to a routing means 5. Furthermore, history information 140 of the contents of processing executed by each network node on a network route is communicated between network nodes and held in a history information storage table 24, and while referring to this information, concerning only the communication packet to which that processing is not yet executed by the other node on the network route, each node transfers it to the flow corresponding processing program executing means 20.
