PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of light and to reduce man-hours for adjusting the optical axis of a fly-eye lens and the lowering of the production yield by providing an adjusting mechanism for adjusting a space between the 1st and the 2nd fly-eye lenses. SOLUTION: Luminous flux outputted from a condenser lens 2 is split by the 1st and the 2nd fly-eye lenses 3 and 4. The beams split by the respective elements 31 to 3n of the lens 3 are condensed to correspond 1:1 on the respective elements 41 to 4n of the lens 4. The beams outputted from the lens 4 are synthesized by a collimator lens 5 and radiated to a display element 6. The lens 4 is positionally moved by the adjusting mechanism 7. By adjusting the space L between the lenses 3 and 4 by the mechanism 7, an illumination range on the element 6 is adjusted. Therefore, the loss of the light caused by the allowance of the illumination range is reduced.
