PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a three-dimensional(3D) image generating device and a method capable of generating a 3D image always free from unnatural feeling in accordance with the movement of an image or the existence of scene changes. SOLUTION: In the case of generating a 2nd picture signal D7 having prallax from a 1st picture signal D1 based on the 1st picture signal D1, the 2nd picture signal D7 having parallax corresponding to the movement information D5 and uncontinuous information D6 about a pixel of interest in the 1st picture signal D1 is generated, so that a 3D image always having a stereoscopic effect can be provided to a viewer in accordance with the movement state of the image or the existence of a scene change. |
