摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the eddy current loss to high-frequency magnetic recording by forming magnetic recording magnetic pole layers to a multilayered structure consisting of >=2 layers of electrolytic plating magnetic film patterns separated from each other by insulating layers. SOLUTION: The thickness of the electrolytic plating magnetic film patterns 4 is extremely small and the cross-sectional shape thereof is transversely elongated and, therefore, the direction of magnetization tends to be a transverse direction, i.e., a track width direction. Either of alumina or silicon oxidized films are used as insulating layers 5. Since the thickness of the insulating layers 5 is confined to <=125 nm, magnetic thin films may be formed thereon by the influence of pinholes, etc., by an electroplating method. Soft magnetic films consisting of NiFe, etc., of <=50 nm are disposed between the insulating layers 5 and the magnetic film patterns 4. Since the soft magnetic films act as plating base layers 2, the selective formation thereof as the magnetic film patterns 4 is possible. Since the magnetization directions of the magnetic film patterns 4 are alternately inverted, the formation of reflux magnetic domains at the cross sections of the magnetic recording magnetic pole layers 6 is possible.
