PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain selective call radio receiver with a display capable of simpli fying, shortening and displaying received information or long sentence informa tion already stored in an information memory. SOLUTION: A received radio signal is demodulated by a radio part 2 and inputted to a controller 4 and user's individual call information or common information served from a company in an information memory part 10 as a KANJI (Chinese character)-KANA (Japanese syllabarry) mixed sentence pattern and displayed on a display 9 in a KANJI-KANA mixed sentence so as to check it. At the time of reading out plural information from the memory 10 through a CPU part 41 by the operation of a switch 13 in the case of checking the information stored in the memory 10, the KANJI-KANA mixed sentence is converted into a graphic writing KANA mixed sentence by an instruction from a character conversion part 12 built in a ROM part 11 under the control of an information selection control part 42, each of plural information is displayed by the number of characters allowed to be displayed on line and one information to be checked up is selected by using a cursor.
