<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current limiting device and a current limiting breaking device capable of speedily taking a current action at the time of a short-circuit failure and shortening a recovery time of a power system after the failure is corrected. SOLUTION: These devices are equipped with a superconductive current limiting resistance 15 in which each of confronting connection terminals on one side of a bridge rectifier having four diodes D1-D4 connected in a bridge shape is connected to a power supply 10 and to a load 12 respectively, and a superconductive coil 14 is inserted between confronting connection terminals on the other side of the rectifier, a switch SW1 inserted between the power source 10 and the superconductive resistance 15, and a pair of field emission type cold cathode element parts 11a, b which are parallel-connected to the superconductive resistance 15 and the switch SW1 and are reversely parallel- connected each other.</p> |
