PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a device to cope flexibly with respect to the number of connected peripheral devices that changes with a status of each site by providing a means connected with a means which selects one of the peripheral devices connected to an IEEE1394 cable and makes transmission reception. SOLUTION: A system is provided with a line interface 13 connected to a digital line 50, an image processing section 11 which is a means that makes transmission/reception of image data and voice data with other video conference device, a voice processing section 12 and a video conference control section 14, and also with an IEEE1394 interface 15, and a connection terminal 24 that is a means for connecting the IEEE1394 interface 15 with an IEEE1394 cable 30. Then the video conference control section 14 selects one of peripheral devices connected to the IEEE 1394 cable 30 and connects the selected device with the image processing section 11 and/or the voice processing section 12. Thus, the device can flexibly cope with the number of peripheral devices connected that changes according to the situation of each site. |
