PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for negotiation, to improve communication efficiency and to reduce communication cost incurred on a user. SOLUTION: An opposite terminal identification/attribute information storage part 103 is provided in these communication terminal equipment TM11-TM1n and TM21-TM2m, and the identification information and attribute information of a desired communication opposite terminal are mode to correspond to each other and are stored in the storage part 103. Then, at performing of communication with the opposite side terminal, the attribute information of the communicating opposite side terminal is read from the opposite terminal identification/ attribute information storage part 103 and compared with the attribute information of the present terminal stored in a present terminal attribute information storage part 102 for the setup period, and thus the common attribute information between the present terminal and the opposite side terminal is found and operation attributes are set to various kinds of function parts 105, 105, etc., based on the common attribute information.
