PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer and a video adaptor capable of outputting an analog video signal and a digital video signal to the external. SOLUTION: A video adaptor card 520a loaded on a main board built in the body of a computer system generates an analog video signal and a digital video signal, supplies the analog video signal to a CRT monitor 100 corresponding to analog display through a connector 521 and supplies the digital video signal to an LCD monitor 600a corresponding to digital display through a connector 522. At the time of sensing no connection of the monitor 600a to the connector 522, a sensing circuit 527 suppresses the power consumption of a transmitter 526 due to unnecessary operation by inhibiting the input of a DE signal from a VGA controller 524 to the transmitter 526.
