PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of harsh click sound, even if muting is executed during talking. SOLUTION: This communication equipment digitally encodes an analog sound signal and executes communication and is provided with muting circuits 12 and 13 for receiving digital sound signals and for turning into silence in accordance with instruction signals, and also a control circuit 23 for giving an instruction of outputting a code corresponding with respect to the silence of the muting circuits 12 and 13 when communication is required.
