PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of an image obtained by projecting an OHP sheet by forming data corrected based on correction information selected for image data on a recording medium. SOLUTION: An input masking circuit 101 corrects a luminance signal affected by the input characteristic of a CCD sensor 210 consisting of three-line sensors to convert it into a standard luminance signal, a Log converter 102 converts it into a CMY density signal, and a CMYBk image is area-sequentially outputted in every read operation of the CCD 210 through an output masking and under-color removing circuit 103. Then, a space filter circuit 104 performs output signal frequency correction, edge processing and smoothing processing, and a density conversion circuit 105 corrects density characteristics belonging to a printer part. Then, a projection environment setting part 107 sets an image processing coefficient to the circuit configurations 101 to 105 with projection environment information such as a projector type projecting an OHP sheet to be printed by an operation panel part 106 and formed image quality is adjusted.
