PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor module apparatus with capacitor which is superior in surge resistance performance. SOLUTION: The DC input terminals 2, 3 of a semiconductor module apparatus 1 are extended to the area just above electrode terminals 20, 21 with screw of a capacitor arranged at the side of semiconductor module 1. Consequently, both terminals are coupled directly with a screw and therefore a bus bar which has been required to connect both terminals in the prior art can be omitted. Since an external case 1A of the semiconductor module 1 is tightened to a cylinder cooling base by pressing a capacitor 9 to the cooling base, when the semiconductor module 1 is fixed to the cooling base, the capacitor 9 simultaneously be fixed by pressing it to the cooling base. As a result, the cylinder capacitor 9 can be assembled and the fixing work can also be simplified while the cooling characteristic of capacitor 9 can be assured. |
