<p>The method welds plastic pipes together. In the connection region, at least one of the two pipes (1) to be joined is enlarged in cross section, beyond the width of the provided opening (4). Alternatively the end (2) of the pipe (1) is fitted with a connector (5) with a widened end cross section, into which, plastic exuded during welding of the pipes (1, 3), is intercepted. Also claimed is a mat-like heat exchanger for cooling and/or heating duties, with a series of U-shaped heat exchange tubes which branch at right angles into header tubes, making the connections by use of the principles described.</p> |
