PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device constituted so that the density target value of a density sensor can be quickly and accurately decided. SOLUTION: Processing that the patch images of a first to a third levels obtained by changing the light intensity of a laser exposure unit are formed on an image carrier by giving first resolution and processing that the patch images of the first to the third levels obtained by changing the light intensity of the laser exposure unit are formed on the image carrier by giving second resolution being lower than the first resolution (S101-S106) are executed. Besides, processing that the density of the patch images of the first to the third levels formed with the first resolution on the image carrier are detected by the density sensor and processing that the patch images of the first to the third levels formed with the second resolution on the image carrier are transferred and fixed on a paper (S106 and S107) are executed. Moreover, processing that the density of the patch images of the first to the third levels obtained after the fixing action thereof are executed are measured and processing that the density target value of the density sensor is decided based on density information obtained before and after the fixing action are executed. |
