PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal distributing device which is advantageous in cost and suitable for making it small-sized and to provide a signal distribution system which suitably improves the reliability of signal transmission. SOLUTION: A concentrator device 80 of this signal distribution system is equipped with connection terminals 82a to 82d to which STBs can be connected, tuners 54a to 54d which extract desired channel signals from a multiplexed signal down-converted from an RF signal to an intermediate- frequency signal and which correspond to the connection terminals 82a to 82d, and a signal processing system 84, which processes the channel signals from the tuners 54a to 54d on a time-division basis as specified. When request signals are inputted from STBs 50a to 50d via the connection terminals 82a to 82d, the channel signals corresponding to the request signals are extracted from the multiplexed signal, processed as prescribed, and outputted to the connection terminals 82a to 82d having inputted the request signals. |
