PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element which can uniformly emit light having a sufficient luminous intensity. SOLUTION: A light emitting element has contact sections 18 and 20 which are respectively provided correspondingly to an n-type layer 12 and a p-type layer 16. The top-side contact section 20 has an opening patterned by etching, annealing, etc. Since the light emitted from the light emitting layer of the light emitting element is emitted through the opening of the contact section 20, uniform light mission is guaranteed from the light emitting element. |
