SOLUTION: This apparatus is composed of a sensor unit 1 which is installed in a desired detection point such as a current cable, a transmission line or the like, In addition, it is composed of a high-efficiency random light source 20 which supplies light, for detection, to the sensor unit 1. In addition, it is composed of a light receiving element 3 by which a detection result from the sensor unit 1 is converted into an electric signal, In the high-efficiency random light source 20, a laser light source 2, a polarization cancellation part 5 and a third single-mode optical fiber F3 are provided.
