PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate inserting/extracting device which is sufficiently assured with the length of a lever when used, and further provided with a function for preventing a substrate from dropping. SOLUTION: A substrate inserting/extracting device comprises a substrate inserting/extracting tool 21 and a projection piece 33. The substrate inserting/ extracting tool 21 comprises a lever 22 and a main body wherein, fitted to a printed board 31 through a center hole 28 for free rotation, a slide part 22AA is provided at a cylinder part 23A for free sliding. For attaching of the printed board 31, the projection piece 33 provide on an immobile member is engaged with a pointed jaw 23BA and the slide part 22A is lifted to an upper limit position so that an inserting/extracting action part 22B is rotated in the direction of allow 52. If the printed board 31 is to be extracted, it is rotated in opposite direction (allow 53 direction). By pressing down the slide part 22A after the printed board 31 is attached, the lower part of the slide part 22A contacts the projection piece 33 for preventing the printed board 31 from dropping while its size is reduced.
