PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric transformer which can be manufactured at a low cost by reducing the usage of internal electrodes of a piezoelectric ceramic laminated body by changing the internal electrode structure of the laminated body. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric transformer is constructed in such a structure that the input and output are separated from each other in the laminating direction of a laminated body formed by laminating a plurality of rectangular piezoelectric ceramic plates 11 each of which is provided with a plurality of concentric annular electrodes 12 and 12' on its front and rear surfaces. The laminated body has input-side external electrodes 14 and 14' connected to a pair of linear electrodes 13 and 13' which connect the annular electrodes 12 and 12' one electrode by one electrode in the tangential direction through a cut section partially formed in the circumferential direction so that the electrodes 13 and 13' may become counter electrodes. The laminated body also has a transformer input section 17 which excites a vibration mode in the spreading direction to the rectangular plates 11 across each counter annular electrodes 12, output- side external electrodes 15 and 15' connected to the linear electrodes 13 and 13', and a transformer output section 16 from which electric power is taken out across each counter annular electrodes 12' from the vibration mode.
