PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device employing an anti-static film for a spacer that has highly stable resistance and good manufacturing reproducibility. SOLUTION: In a display device having a structure where a rear plate 2 defining a plurality of electron emission elements is faced to a face plate 7 defining a luminescent material via a spacer 10, the surface of an insulating member 10a of the spacer 10 is coated with an anti-static film 10c comprising an alloy nitride film of silicon and tradition metal. Clear image display can be provided which restrains turbulence of potential near the spacer and eliminates displacement of a luminescent spot of an electron beam.
