PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make medium loading and ejecting works comfortable by providing an opening/-closing door for accessing information recording from the outside and opening and closing the door in a sliding system. SOLUTION: An operation panel 4 is provided at the right side of a slide door 3 and LED display parts arranged in accorance with the order of cells are provided corresponding to the all cells of a cell block 5. When an operator performs the loading and ejecting of a medium to a library device 1, the operator can load and eject the medium to a desired cell by operating the operation panel 4. Consequently, the operator can perform the loading and ejecting of a magnetic tape medium easily as the operator faces in the direction of the library device 1 always. Moreover, a space which is needed for opening a hinged door is made unnecessary by making a door for loading and ejecting the medium in a sliding opening and closing system, thus, the space saving of the system can be attained by narrowing a space with other devices.
