PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer spread device constituted so that developer can be uniformly spread over an instant film unit using an outside frame sheet. SOLUTION: A spread control member 72 coming into slidable contact with the image forming side cover sheet 38 of the film unit 17 and spreading the developer between a photosensitive layer and an image forming layer is arranged between the film exit 50 of a film pack and a pair of spread rollers 61. Besides, both ends of the first spread roller 75 are provided with a small diameter part 83 whose diameter is small so that the spread part 82 thereof can be directly brought into contact with the sheet 38 and the developer can be properly spread without being obstructed by the outside frame sheet 46 surrounding the outside circumferential edge of the exposure surface of the unit 17.
