The invention relates to a system with various structural shapes for building a line of products with gears having different overall gear ratio and a different number of transmission steps. In all structural shapes and tooth wheels (28, 32, 36), automobile transmissions (2) consisting of three successive partial gears (10, 22, 40), a main gear part (22), a multi-gear split gear part (40) and a multi-gear group transmission part (10), have the same number of teeth and at least the same tooth wheel pairs (28 - 52 - 54, 32 - 50, 36 - 48) in correspondence with the number of tooth wheel pairs of the structural shape of the transmission (2) having the lowest number of transmission steps for the split gear part (40), the group transmission part (10) and the gear steps of each main gear part (22).
