The present invention relates to personal care compositions comprising a wat er insoluble substrate, a plurality of active proteins, and a binding means, comprising a polymeric tether, permanently attaching each of the enzymes to the substrate wherein the personal care composition comprises from about 0.0 1 .mu.g/cm2 to about 1000 .mu.g/cm2 of the enzyme on the substrate.
