<p>A seamless conveyor belt for a powered belt (10) turn formed on a cone-shaped mandrel (35). One such belt is made by positioning fabric on a cone shaped mandrel surface (36) to form a frusto-conical fabric core (38), winding a cord (60) on the outer surface (40) of the fabric core to form a plurality of cord windings (64), impregnating the cord windings and fabric core with a polymer resin, allowing the resin to cure to form a composite belt structure of the resin-impregnated cord windings and fabric core, and removing the belt from the mandrel. Optional battens or profiles reinforce the belt laterally. The cord windings or fabric core can be omitted.</p> |
