<p>The use of menthyl 2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylate as an insect repellent, usually by application to a substrate or into an air space. The menthyl 2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylate can be used as a composition, which may be perfumed. A useful composition comprises a mixture of menthyl 2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylate and a known insect repellent or a compound shown to be an effective insect repellent on a test described herein.</p> |
