The instrument includes a first (20) and a second processing unit (30), and a transmitting circuit (60) connected to the first processing unit, which is activated by it for emitting a signal. A switch (8) is connected to the first processing unit. A movement sensor (90) connected at the second processing unit detects movement and submits a signal, if no movement were detected in a predetermined period of time. The transmitting circuit sends out a signal, when the switch is operated and/or if no movements were detected by the sensor in the predetermined period of time.
