A photodiffusion sheet not easily bent by heating by a lamp and a backlight unit using the sheet, the photodiffusion sheet comprising a base sheet and a photodiffusion layer provided on the surface of the base sheet. The photodiffusion layer is constituted by dispersing resin beads and fine inorganic fillers into a binder. An average particle diameter of a fine inorganic filler is preferably not smaller than 5 nm and less than 1 mu m and a preferable compounded amount of a fine inorganic filler is not less than 10 pts. wt. and not more than 500 pts. wt. per 100 pts. wt. of a polymer component in the binder, colloidal silica being used as a fine inorganic filler. |
