First conveyor belts (3) are aligned in a conveying direction and second conveyor belts (4) at a slant to the conveying direction. Buffer stops act as carriers (4c) designed to be installed on the back broad side (1a) of sections of tubing (1). These carriers slide the face sides (1b) of these sections on the first conveyor belts as far as a non-contact signal transmitter (8). A signal from this transmitter triggered by a face side delays the second conveyor belts, so that they take over.
