<p>Low polydisperse, low molecular weight partially neutralized acid polymers that are useful as additives in detergents can be prepared efficiently by contacting together under polymerization conditions, a polymerizable acid monomer, a polymerizable acid salt monomer, a radical initiator, and preferably a stable free radical agent. The partially neutralized acid polymers can be prepared easily and with high conversion and yields at a temperature not exceeding 100 °C.</p> |
