The armrest has an upholstered support surface (4) with an inverted U-shaped clamp on the underside, one side of which may engage between the window pane and the rubber seal for the window pane. The bottom part of the U-shape and the other side of the U-shape fit over the upholstery on the door sill. The armrest may be mounted on the driver's or passenger's side of the car.
