Hanging drop process and assembly for the crystallisation of biological macro-molecules minimizes the incidence of false results

A hanging drop process for the crystallization of biological macro-molecules, is new. A substance is treated in a reaction chamber (2) using a hanging drop vapor diffusion process. The chamber (2) inlet is covered by a transparent hydrosilicon glass laminar foil (4) which supports the substance (5) under treatment which rests on the foil inner surface. The laminar foil (4) is smaller than the inlet. The laminar foil (4) is held by a support frame (11) and positioned using an insertion arrangement (12).
