The invention relates to a device (10) for coupling a capillary electrophoresis device (CE) (11) to a plasma mass spectrometry device, notably an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry device (ICP-MS) (12), especially for carrying out elemental analyses. The device (10) is characterized by a capillary tube (15) housed in a hollow space (14) in a body element (13). The hollow space (14) extends at least partly along the capillary tube (15) as far as a mixing chamber (16) in which an eluate (17) supplied via the capillary tube (15) is combined with a liquid medium (18) supplied via the hollow space (14). The mixture (19) of eluate (17) and liquid medium (18) is fed via a mixture capillary tube (20) into an opening (21) to a spray chamber (22) into which the mixture (19) is sprayed (26) by means of an atomizing gas (23). From said chamber it can be transferred to the plasma mass spectrometry device (12) for analysis.
