<p>The present invention relates generally to a method of identifying differences between nucleic acid molecules. More particularly, the present invention provides a chemical cleavage of mismatch method capable of identifying mismatched or unmatched bases in a nucleic acid duplex comprising hybridized nucleotide sequences. The method of the present invention enables the efficient determination of nucleotide differences, such as resulting from base changes (mutations and polymorphisms), in target nucleic acid molecules.</p> |
