<p>A device for scattering cremation remains comprises a container having a top wall 22, a bottom wall and at least one side wall 12, 14, 20. The bottom wall has a handle 36 mounted thereto. The top wall 22 is secured to the side walls, functioning as a removable cover which may be slidable. Preferably, the handle 36 is recessed into the bottom wall of the container and pivoted to a mounting plate 38 which is mounted to the bottom wall, the handle being pivotable between a retracted, inoperable position in a recessed area of the plate 38 and an extended, operable position. The cover is preferably secured to the side walls with at least one quick connect/disconnect cam-type latch mechanism comprising a lug portion 26 secured to either the top wall 22 or the side wall 20, and a latch portion 28 secured to the other of the top wall 22 and side wall 20.</p> |
