<p>A clock comprising a standard analogue twelve hour clock face 1 and, in addition, indications 2 showing the twenty-four hours of a day around the standard clock face 1 such that twenty-four hours are indicated in one complete revolution. A disc 5 is mounted in front of the clock face located concentrically with and inwardly of the twenty-four hour time marks 2. The disc 5 is moulded from a translucent thermoplastic and printed with a modified South Pole projection of the World. The disc 5 is then overprinted with 24 radial lines representing the standard 15{ (1 hour) time zones (the radial lines thus lie 7.5{ to the side of the actual meridians) Principal city names are located around the periphery of the disc. The disc 5 is arranged to rotate once in twenty-four hours relative to a twenty-four hour scale. Thus, the time in all twenty four world time zones is displayed by the clock as the disc 5 rotates with respect to the time indications 2.</p> |
