PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon allotrope film formed by easy and low-cost electrolysis and to provide an electron emitter using this film. SOLUTION: The carbon allotrope film 6 is produced by precipitating and depositing carbon atoms on a cathode substrate 2 made of a silicon substrate or metal substrate by applying current on electrodes 2, 3 inserted in an org. solvent 5 which produces carbonium ion (also called as carbo cation) by electrolysis. The electron emitter uses the obtd. film.
