This Specification discloses the same subject-matter as Specification 1,114,275, but also includes a construction (Fig. 1) wherein rake-wheels 3 are mounted in a single row on a frame beam 1 which is supported by ground-wheels 14, 16 mounted one on each side of the row and by a single, smaller, ground-wheel 27 mounted at the rear end of the row, one of the rake-wheels, 16, being carried by an arched outrigger 5 passing over the row. The frame is completed by a second arched outrigger 4 and by beams 6, 7, 8, 10 welded together to form a triangulated structure. The wheel 27 is a simple castor and the wheels 14, 16 are lockable swivelwheels. A drawbar 33 swingable about both a vertical and horizontal axis is connected to the junction of the beams 4, 6, 7. Rake-wheel height is adjustable by a crank 37. A short portion 20 of the beam 1, carrying two rake-wheels 22 and the ground-wheel 27, can be removed, if desired. |
