PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe antibacterial resin composition even when used in contact with human bodies by imparting continuous antibacterial characteristics to a resin or its resin composition with making the best use of nice properties of elastic or adhesive resins or resin compositions such as silicone-based resins or various adhesives. SOLUTION: This antibacterial resin composition is obtained by blending the effective amount of an antibacterial ingredient derived from plants to an elastic or adhesive resin selected from silicone-based resins or various adhesives or their compositions. As the antibacterial ingredient originating from plants, catechin, saponin, tea extracts, powdery tea leaves, tannin, tannic acid, extracts or powder of crude drugs or herb drugs are cited.
