PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation of a fuel injection nozzle caused by press-in force, by eliminating its excessively increasing, at the time of tightening work of a retaining bolt. SOLUTION: This engine is provided with a fuel injection nozzle 8 which has a nozzle retaining implement 3 having a lever 1 and a retaining bolt 2, the bolt 2 being screw-mounted on a cylinder head 4, is pressed into a nozzle insertion hole 9 by a work point part 7 of the lever 1, by pressing a point of force part 6 of the lever 1 by a pressing part 5 of the retaining bolt 2, and is fixed to the cylinder head 4 by press-in force 48 of this lever 1, and is provided with a stopper 47 stop receiving the lever 1.
