APPLIANCE FOR PROSTHESIS JOINT ARTHROPLASTY OPERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appliance for prosthesis joint arthroplasty operation which simplifies the procedures or marks for regulating a bone end for prosthesis implantation. SOLUTION: This appliance is placed at the resection end 11 of the one bone 10 of a joint set forming the joint and has a jack 45 for supporting the other bone 20 of the joint set together with the two bones in the state that the bones are attached with the ligaments. The jack 45 pivotally supports the other bone 20 and raises the bone up to the planned spacing of the prosthesis to enable a surgeon to balance the tension of the soft tissue. The bone 20 may be rotated to a natural orientation state under the tension of the connecting ligaments by the supporting. On the other hand, the template supported by a jack assembly 45 is disposed to face the regulated resection end 21 and, therefore, the cutting to be executed afterward exists at adequate rotational alignment. The bone is subjected to the natural orientation position when a joint component element is mounted.
