PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce occurrence of bleeding, mixed color or the like irrespective of a type of a recording medium and to obtain a printing result of a high quality level by operating a corresponding piezoelectric element based on data selected from drive pulse waveform data according to setting of a recording mode setting means corresponding to the type of the medium. SOLUTION: The method for printing comprises the steps of setting a recording mode regarding a type or the like of a recording sheet by an input from an operation panel 27 to a recording mode setting means 22, storing drive pulse waveform data to be altered thereby in a data memory means 28, and selecting the data corresponding to the mode from the means 22 from the data of them. The method further comprises the steps of generating piezoelectric element and recording sheet driving timings by main and sub-scanning means 25, 26 to output them to a drive signal generating means 23, here selecting drive signal data regulated at an ink droplet amount according to bleeding remedy or the like of the medium by a signal of recording mode, drive timing and printing data analyzing means 34, and outputting corresponding offset voltage 30 or the like to a head driving circuit 24. |
