PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen application width of compost by an applying apparatus installed at the rear end side of a packing case in a wide range and to carry out the widening of the application width by small power requirement. SOLUTION: This compost applicator comprises mounting a grinding beater at the backward opening rear end of a packing case for compost loading laid on a machine body which travels by traction or is self-propelled and travels, combining rotary bases each equipped with an application blade at the top side in a pair of right and left parallel units (u) below the grinding beater, arranging the plural ranges of the units (u) right and left in a line in such a way that a virtual line (w) connecting the revolving shafts of the rotary bases parallel in a pair forms a truncated chevron shape or a convex lens shape backward when viewed in a plane to constitute an applying apparatus and installing the apparatus at the rear side of the packing case.
