PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dimensional accuracy of a building unit and to easily remove a temporary column after the building unit is installed by connecting a height-adjustable temporary column at a portion where a column is omitted to manufacture the building unit. SOLUTION: A temporary column 5 is connected at a portion where a column 1 is omitted to manufacture a building unit constituted of columns 1, floor beams 2 and ceiling beams 3 made of steel. A lower column material 52 and an upper column material 53 are connected by a bolt 51 formed with a right screw 511 and a left screw 512 at the lower and upper sections of a fastening hexagon section 513 to form the temporary column 5. The bolt 51 is rotated to adjust the whole height, and the upper and lower ends are screwed and fixed to connecting devices 43R, 42R at the upper and lower corner sections of the building unit by bolts 534, 524. The dimensional accuracy of a column- omitted building unit is improved, the building unit is connected to another building unit arranged adjacently by high-strength bolts and nuts via the bolt insertion holes 432, 422 of the connecting devices 43R, 42R, then the height of the temporary column 5 is shrunk for easy removing.
