PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide friction force suitable for separation of sheets of various kinds of materials. SOLUTION: A movable inclined part 115 is provided as a sheet separation means. Sheets S loaded on a pressure plate 103 are delivered by a feeding roller 109 rotating in the clockwise direction. In the case when the delivered sheets S are sheets with low stiffness, the sheets S are separated one by one by a separation click 106. In the case when the delivered sheets S are sheets with high stiffness, the sheets S are separated one by one by friction force of a fixed inclined part 105 or the movable inclined part 115. In the case when friction force between the sheets each other is large and the sheets are sheets of a material hard to separate, friction force of the inclined part is increased by increasing a setting angle of the movable inclined part 115. Additionally, in the case of the sheets of a material friction force of which with the feeding roller 109 is small, the friction force of the inclined part is reduced by reducing the setting angle of the movable inclined part 115.
