PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify mounting of a drive shaft coupler, by comprising a circular sleeve for accepting ends of two shaft dividing portions, an alignment means for aligning the dividing portions in an axial direction, an a mounting means for tightening the sleeve to the dividing portions. SOLUTION: A circular sleeve 46 of a coupler 40 comprises a hole 48 whose shoulder portion 50 constitutes an alignment means to align shaft dividing portions 42 and 44. Inclined circular faces 58 of shrink discs 54, 56 are settled on an inclined circular projection 60 of the circular sleeve 46, and a bolt 70 is inserted through an opening 62 of the shrink disc and an opening 66 of a spacer, and is screwed into a tapped hole. When the bolt 70 is tightened, a space between the shrink discs 54 and 56 becomes small, and the inclined circular face 58 presses a projection 72, so that the sleeve 46 tightens the dividing portions 42 and 44. Friction contact between the circular sleeve 46 and the drive shafts 42, 44 sufficient for torque transmission is generated. Accordingly, mounting of drive shafts on a press machine is easier than that of a single continuous shaft. |
